Up until recently I myself thought what you might be thinking about printing, what’s the point? Yes, for the first 5 years in the wedding industry I didn’t see any urgency. Boy was I wrong!
Would you believe me if I told you that you will probably forget about your photos just sitting on your USB and hard drive? Or that you’ll never actually get around to printing your wedding album if you don’t include it in your package right off the bat? These are pretty bold statements I’m making, and I’ll explain why in a moment.
There is nothing quite like seeing your images for the first time, when you receive your online gallery notification excitement erupts and you cant wait to open it up. Printing is like a whole new feeling, its tangible, theres more depth, warmth, texture. It probably sounds crazy, but a good quality print makes your image come to life where you can relive the moment again. This is why I truly FINALLY believe that everyone should print their images, if not an album perhaps a few that are framed and hung on the wall.
The moment I realized the value of printing was when I printed images for our first wedding show, the moment I opened the packaging I was blown away, and truly overwhelmed with emotion – they weren’t even my wedding photos! I had never seen one of our images look so incredibly moving, it is something only a print can do.
So why on earth would I possibly think you’ll forget about your photos!? After the wedding you’ll be busy; there’s the thank you responses you have to write, the honeymoon, moving to a new home. If an album is included with your package it is done, all you two have to do is create a favourites list in your online gallery by clicking, its easy, I take care of the rest!
